Abstract:  DNS (the Domain Name System) is fundamental to the Internet
as we know it.  Aaron will cover DNS "from the ground up", including
those little corners you've always wondered about, and attempt to
explain the underpinnings of something that is so central to the every
day Internet, yet rarely looked at very closely.

Bio:  Aaron S. Joyner is the System Administrator for Intrex.net and
is a veteran of the ISP industry, having worked in ISP administration
since the mid 90s.  He is a member of SAGE, and has recently presented
on DNS for the Triangle Linux User's Group.

*** NC*SA Holiday Food Drive ***
Tonight there will be a holiday food drive to benefit the Raleigh
Rescue Mission (http://www.raleigh-rescue.org/).  As an incentive, the
attendee bringing the most donations  to the NC*SA Holiday Food Drive
will receive a Novell Gift Pack provided by Alphanumeric, Inc.,
including a Novell computer/luggage bag, Novell t-shirt, Novell
baseball cap, Novell blanket, and much more.  Prizes for runners up
will be available.

Nominations for the three open seats on the Steering Committee will
open on Dec 13, 2004.  If you would like to nominate yourself or
someone else for election to the NC*SA Steering
