Topic: NFS 4
Speaker: John Scott, Network Appliance

Abstract:
This presentation will focus on the recent evolution of NFS,
specifically, the development and deployment of the NFS v4 protocol.
The discussion will compare v4 to v3 and highlight some of the
important features and performance attributes of v4.  Additionally,
the features that make v4 a better and more secure solution for wide
area networks will be discussed.

Speaker Bio:
John Scott is a Software Engineer at Network Appliance. He has a
strong background in Internet and file access protocols and most
recently has been focused on NFS-RDMA and NFSv4 extensions. John has
over 20 years of industry experience in networking across companies
such as MITRE, Data General and now Network Appliance. He earned a
Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Virginia
in 1985.
