=======================================================================

Lisa Lorenzin is a consulting engineer with Juniper Networks,
specializing in security solutions. She has worked in a variety
of Internet-related roles for over a decade, with the past 9
years being focused on network and information security. From
her experience in datacenter, government, and enterprise
environments, as well as active participation and service in
local usergroups, she has gained a thorough understanding of
the challenges facing users and administrators in today's world
of expanding regulations and increasing threats.

Abstract:

Viruses, worms, and other malware are proliferating at an
ever-increasing rate, and the challenge of defending your
critical assets from compromised systems grows with them.
How do you protect your network environment when infection
vectors can range from malicious attachments, to rootkits
installed by audio CDs, and beyond? The Trusted Computing
Group may have the answer. TCG is an alliance of industry
leaders whose goal is to develop standards that promote
more secure computing; the Trusted Network Connect subgroup
focuses on ensuring endpoint compliance with integrity
policies at and after network connection, with standards
are designed to ensure multi-vendor interoperability across
a wide variety of endpoints, network technologies, and
policies.
