The next meeting of the North Carolina System Administrators
organization (NC*SA) will be held Monday, May 8th, 2006 and will run from
7:00 pm until 8:30 pm. Details about the meeting are provided in

Speaker:  Gregory J. Pryzby
Meeting Topic:  SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 Server and desktop

Abstract:

This talk will cover YaST tools for server administration in SuSE Linux
Enterprise 10 as well as virtualization of machines and storage.  In
addition, Gregory will discuss AppArmor, an effective and easy to use
security system which protects both the operating system and installed
applications.  The Common Information Model (CIM) will also be explored,
as will other areas of SuSE Linux Enterprise 10.

Biography:

Greg Pryzby is a Technology Sales Specialist in the Southeast region
with Novell, Inc. Greg began his computer career over 19 years ago and
has held a number of different positions from developer to technical
manager at the largest ISP in the world.

Greg started working with Linux and Open Source in 1993 and started a
Linux Users' Group (http://novalug.tux.org/) in Northern Virginia later
that year. Over the last 13 years Greg has promoted Open Source and
Linux at work, through presentations at conferences, bookstores and
libraries and on various worldwide mailing lists.

Greg started as a C developer writing client/server applications.
Overtime, Greg added Perl, C++ and Java to the languages used. During
Greg's time as a consultant he ported software from various unixes to
Linux and helped find Open Source solutions whenever possible.
