Abstract:

This discussion is designed to provide an overview of VMware's latest
ESX "Infrastructure 3" product and its support of iSCSI SANs.
EqualLogic will discuss how their "scale out" virtualized PeerStorage is
an ideal companion to VMware's provisioning and disaster recovery
capabilities.  In addition, EqualLogic will discuss and demonstrate the
ability to perform iSCSI SAN boot with Windows and Linux using the IBM
BladeCenter.

Speaker Bios:

Eric Hardcastle is a Senior Systems Engineer with VMware. Prior to
joining VMware, Eric supported the IBM xSeries, software, and Storage
sales team as a pre-sales Engineer.  During his 7 years at IBM, Eric
worked as a subject matter expert for IBM Storage, software, Blade
technology, but spent much of his time selling and supporting VMware
software for IBM.  Before moving to Raleigh, NC, Eric was working as an
operations manager for a large marketing and merchandising company based
out of Boston.

Chris Mojica is a Systems Engineer with EqualLogic. Prior to joining
EqualLogic, Chris supported multi-generational OEM product life spans for
IBM xSeries, BladeCenter, and FASt product lines and published numerous
whitepapers and design guides focusing on subjects from chip level
design to boot from SAN.   Prior to coming to Qlogic Chris had successful
careers in the networking and broadband fields as a network systems
consultant with Lucent Network Care division, formerly International
Network Services, and as a Field Applications Engineer with Xpeed
corporation.  Chris began his professional career co-oping with IBM's
Network Hardware Division.
