Abstract:

Many large companies have had data breaches in the last couple of years.
I will go through the issues and regulations that are requiring
companies to encrypt data to ensure the privacy of their employees and
customers.

Decru provides a solution that allows companies to encrypt data (tape
and disk) without impacting the performance of their current
environment. These issues include:

1. Performance
2. Media Size
3. Changes to infrastructure

Decru compresses and encrypts data at line speed. We work with
existing infrastructure, so no changes are needed to implement.

Speaker Bio:

John Lavelle graduated in 1991 from UCLA with a degree in
Mathematics and Computer Science. John has spent over 15 years in
engineering and sales roles for Stellent (now Oracle), Yahoo!, Aventail,
and now NetApp/Decru.
