Abstract:

The Cisco UCS (Unified Computing System) brings a new approach to the provisioning, maintenance, and operation of a blade server system. We will discuss how the UCS's single-point-of-management and service-profiles ease the burden of provisioning and maintaining for the server administrator. The session will include a demonstration of the UCS management system.

Biography:

Bruce Clounie is a Consulting Systems Engineer with Cisco's Data Center South Team. Bruce has a varied background with over 30 years experience in servers, storage, networking, and mainframes. Since joining Cisco in 1999, he has supported Cisco customers as a Systems Engineer, Systems Engineering Manager, and Consulting Systems Engineer throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. He currently focuses on the Unified Computing System, MDS Storage Switch, and the Nexus Switching Family for customers in North Carolina.
