Abstract: 

Traditionally, as technology in the data center has evolved, management tools have 
kept up, providing critical functionality to operations teams.  But that
isn’t true in the modern data center.  Virtualization, cloud, and 
complex distributed applications are creating huge gaps between IT 
systems and the applications / transactions that run on them.  These 
gaps lead to many organizational and personal challenges, especially 
when problems occur. The ultimate issue is when customers are 
complaining, but every admin has proof that it's not their problem.
It doesn't have to be this way. By tying transactions to the systems 
underneath - and vice versa - operational personnel  can isolate the 
root cause of transaction issues - any issue, on any platform, on any 
environment - physical, virtual, or cloud. 



Biography 

Maury Cupitt, Director of Technical Services BlueStripe Software

As Director of Technical Services at BlueStripe Software, Maury leverages 
his 15 years of technology industry experience to lead a world-class 
pre-sales, support, and education team that helps enterprise operations 
team manage the availability and service performance of any 
application.  Maury has 10 years of experience in the Application 
Performance Management industry and has been critical in helping many 
Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies improve the performance and 
availability of their mission critical applications. Prior to joining 
BlueStripe Software, Maury was Manager of Technical Sales for the 
Southeast at CA Technologies. He joined CA through the acquisition of 
Wily Technology, where he helped manage and grow from $3 million to $175
million in revenue. Prior to Wily, Maury worked at visionary and market
leading companies that include Netscape and AvantGo.
