Abstract:
Mr. Schaefer describes how to install an OS for a server with
a static IP on a subnet to which you don't have physical access, using
two interfaces on a local Linux machine. He'll discuss each of the
protocols involved in a Linux server install, and how to proxy them to
the second interface on a Linux system. The result is a Linux server
that can be shipped to a remote location, racked, cabled, and turned on
for production.
Biography:
Mr. Schaefer supports the design and simulation Linux environments
