directory based quotas???

Anybody know if there is a way to implement directory based quotas (not user
based) for Solaris 8.  I think the answer is no, but I figured it was worth
asking.

I know I can do this at the file system level, but I'd rather not incur the
overhead of multiple file systems if I don't have to.
