Actually, that's not true anymore.  RR Biz used to supply "persistent
DHCP leases", but they switched that about 4 months ago to actual
fixed IP addresses and switched out all their business customers
cable modems with actual routers.  One unfortunate thing about it,
however, was that the number of choices you could get was reduced.
I previously had 2 "persistent" ip addresses but when they changed,
the ip addresses had to be in actual CIDR blocks.  While a /30
would normally give 2 ip addresses, their new router took up one of
them, leaving only 1 available for the customer.  So, instead I
convinced them to "upgrade" (in their minds, in my mind it was=20
restoring what I had contracted for) me to a Cisco router (instead
of the Zyxel router they had initially supplied) and bump me up
to a /29.  With the cisco taking 1 ip, that leaves 5 ips for me,
of which I'm still using only 2.  :-/
