Those are actually extremely reasonable prices for juggling equipment.
Juggling clubs (no juggler *ever* calls them pins!) normally run
$25 to $50 each.  My wife and I have 12 that cost us $35 each and
were well worth it.  Juggling bags, also, run from $6 to $15
each, depending on the quality.  Silicone balls, used for bounce
juggling, can run $50 each.

The juggling equipment for sale at the Tech Circus was supplied
by a company in FL called Infinite Illusions.  They sell good
quality juggling equipment and yo-yo (they host the world yo-yo
championships).  Their juggling torches are the best in the
business. (Disclaimer: the owner of I.I., Greg Cohen, is a good=20
friend of mine.) =20

So, for real juggling equipment, those prices were normal.  However,
this was not a juggling crowd, it was a tech crowd and in that
case, they might have considered going with something a bit
cheaper (but realizing that you get what you pay for).
