john,
there was this piece of software named autosys from, i believe it was,
the sterling group? or maybe that was just the guys that i bought it
from. anyway, it has since been acquired by ca and is called 'unicenter
autosys job management'. i had a really great time learning and
installing the package. i seem to recall that it was a pretty complete
implementation. good dependencies and parallel job support.

best of luck,
stan
p.s. no, i no longer support the product but i think i can still get
ahold of someone that does.

Subject: Job Scheduling - multiplatform

So does anyone have a package they would like to suggest? We are
looking for something that supports Solaris, Linux, Aix, and Mainframe.
It should be able to manage jobs and support dependencies between jobs.

Thanks,
John
