Mike,
This may not help you directly but I wish to share.
I had a Tape Drive problem a couple years ago.
I tried to contact the vendor but their business
were closed. What I did was that I opened the drive
carefully, write down the steps as needed, and using
the tape to keep the screws on each step notes on the paper.
What I discovered was actually a small mechanical
problem. That was fixed in the same day.
What I would suggest is to check if there were mechanical issues
that could be fixed inhouse with minor skill sets.
Be aware that Repair cost sometime maybe close to a replacement.
Did you called the manufacture to seek for some local reps?
Here is their contact info:
Telephone Support
Contact Tandberg Data Technical Support at (303) 417-7792. Tandberg Data
offers free Technical Support for all currently shipping in warranty
products during normal business hours (7:00 AM to 6:00 PM MST).
I wish this helps.
