SR . Unix Systems Administrator 
 
 
Experience: - 5-10 years 
 
 
Description: The Unix Administrator will provide server administration in 
flavors of Unix OS. Assist in strategic and tactical planning with in the 
Systems team
Responsibilities:
·         Administration of Solaris, AIX.
·         Patch and Package administration
·         Configuration and management of File system
·         Configuration of Network properties and access policies. 
·         Monitoring and fine tuning for system performance using system tools
·         Auditing system security, user accounts and file/folder permission
·         Tuning system performance based on customer inputs. 
·         Writing shell scripts to accomplish day to day system administration 
task
 
Requirements:   
 ·         Minimum of 2 years of work experience in UNIX environment. Red Hat 
Linux server, HPUX , AIX or Solaris 

Experience with two of the UNIX versions:
Solaris 10/9/8
Aix 5.3/6.1
 
·         Scripting knowledge (Perl/Python/Bash)                         
·         Experience in Disaster recovery 
planning,                                                                     

·         Strong TCP/IP Networking knowledge 
·         Experience   in routing and switching is a plus 
·         Strong knowledge on Storage connectivity 
·         Ability to solve highly complex problems spanning multiple 
technologies and disciplines
·         Demonstrate leadership and foster collaborative team approach and 
interacts well with front line and management providing consultation and expert 
advice on systems related topics
 
Other Skills:-
·         Excellent communication skills 
·         Awareness of ITIL Framework
