Lockheed Martin has an opening for a senior systems administrator in RTP.

Cliffs:

The Systems Administrator is responsible for assisting in the management,
administration, maintenance and support of systems in a High Performance
Computing and Scientific Visualization center. This includes, but is not
limited to, installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems
and commercial and in-house developed applications. The position is
challenged with ensuring maximum availability and highest level of
performance for production and mission critical technology resources.
Administer and maintain all HPC, Visualization and other mission critical
technology resources; coordinate and perform server hardware and software
upgrades; monitor server performance and network connectivity; monitor
desktop systems and scientific workstations; monitor and resolve assigned
customer trouble tickets. Troubleshoot operating systems, server hardware,
network issues. Maintain relevant and current knowledge within assigned
technical fields; communicate and interact with other engineering team
members to ensure coordination and cross training. Recommend new processes
and procedures, equipment and software.
