Guys:
     IBM has two openings for two Network Administrators. The work is fast
paced and it is 100% done using a cloud provider that IBM recently
acquired, called Softlayer. It involves maintaining and improving a Cloud
Infrastructure for SaaS offerings. You don't need low level network skills,
as you will be working on Layer 3. An experienced Unix Administrator would
also fit the bill.

This IT Systems Network Specialist role is within the Cloud Business Unit.
This is a very driven environment using the latest technologies. In this
role, you have the opportunity to configure Brocade Vyatta Vroute 5400,
firewall rules, high availability using Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol
(VRRP), VLAN and subnet definitions, work with external customers in
defining Site-to-Site Virtual Private Network (VPN). Skills that are
preferred include familiarity with Intrusion Prevention/Detection system,
best practices for network security, DNS Bind9 configuration, IPv6
configuration and deployment, experience in troubleshooting network
connectivity problems, knowledge of Linux and Windows network
configuration, scripting on Unix Shell, Perl, Python or any other scripting
language. Other skills that would be a plus include the Softlayer cloud
provider, cloud Application Programming Interfaces (API) and
Representational State Transfer (REST) interfaces.
