The title of your email is pretty misleading. This bill doesn't 
eliminate overtime for IT workers. It's an update to a bill from 1950 
where "professional" workers are defined and excluded from *mandatory* 
overtime pay. IT workers didn't exist in the 50's and thus aren't 
mentioned in the old law.

This new update says that IT workers are considered "professionals" and 
aren't entitled to *mandatory* overtime just like any other professional 
(doctor, lawyer, architect, engineer, etc). Of course an individual's 
employment contract could include overtime provisions but this law says 
that they aren't *implied* simply by the nature of your job.
