Good points, all of them. I expect to hear as much opposition to the
idea of outreach to beginners as to anything, since the status quo
will want to "keep it real, keep it hardcore," but I agree it needs to
be done.
The Linux 101 class was a good start and it will continue next month.
I'm also looking at other outreach activities. For example, I'd like
to make the December social meeting a networking event. Still social,
but just more people invited. People from outside the group, e.g.
NSBE, etc. I've asked Phil Rhodes to take the lead on organizing it.
It would be a good meeting for a membership drive, btw.
