What about "dd | tar | bzip2 --in-chunks-of-650MB | mkiso" ?


At PC Magazine, they were reviewing different disc imaging programs (Ghost, 
DiskWhatever...) and they found out that "dd" was the best product. 

They were doing it for Windows, but.... with the LinuxOnFloppy and dd in the 
floppy, they did the wole nine yards of Windows Disk Imaging.

Then, tar + bzip it, make an iso image, burn it, md5sum it and... ta-dah!
