Well, if you want a discount at Barnes and Noble, there is a discount
available to anyone who buys one!! If you happen to be in B&N and you just
happen to purchase a bunch of Linux books it is entirely possible that you
can get this discount FREE (you usually have to pay for it!!). Here's what
you do. Buy a bunch of Linux books at one time. But before you pay for them
purchase a Membership card which then gives you a 10% discount off every
book you were going to buy anyway. So now you know the price of your
purchase which will give you a free ANNUAL membership.
I actually did this almost by accident one day. Unfortunately, you'll have
to do it again every year!! But it's better than nothing. There is nothing
similar available at Borders, I've asked. As for other discounts, that's
another matter. --ALF.
