[TriLUG] Anyone using a USB Zip drive?

I'm thinking of getting a 250MB USB drive for my linux 
box.  The HOWTO is a bit broken (bad links, etc.), but 
it looks like it's supported.  If anyone has had any 
good or bad experience with this piece of hardware, I'd 
like to hear about it before I order one.  

By the way, I do much with USB, but this drive says that 
it takes poewr from the USB connection.  Is that the norm?  
How much load do USB devices like that add to a power supply?
