Oh wow something about linux on the linux user's group rather then the 
consititution or microsoft!

I've gotten WINNT and WIN98 running in a VM on linux.  I've had no
real problems.  Windows has even crashed less often (for some odd 
reason).  I would say that's your best bet, then you get Linux stability 
and whatever window programs you want to run, and windows can crash 
itself all it likes without you having to reboot more than the VM.. 
Nice eh?  So far this setup has worked for me quite nicely, can't vouch 
for the other way around, case I've had no reason to try it.
