In case anyone cares, I got a mail yesterday from VMWare about
upgrade prices.  Here's the useful bit:

As a current customer, you are entitled to pre-purchase Workstation
3.0 at a special upgrade price of $89.00 for electronic distribution
and $119.00 for packaged product, if you act now. This special
offer is available only through September 30, 2001.

To take advantage of this special offer, visit the VMware Store at

After September 30, 2001, as a current customer you may purchase
your Workstation 3.0 upgrade at our regular upgrade price of $99.00
for electronic distribution and $129.00 for packaged product. For
information on volume purchases of upgrades, email our sales team
at sales at vmware.com or call 1-877-4VMWARE, extension 367
(650-475-5000 outside the U.S.).


I've not yet decided if I intend to upgrade my license.
