[TriLUG] Sawfish and RH 7.1

[Rodent of Unusual Size]

Right, so I installed 7.1+upgrades on my new laptop.
Switched to Sawfish as my window manager since it looks
a lot more like Enlightenment did than Enlightenment does
now.

Result?  Buggered again by RH's severe lag and
interdependencies..

RH provides Sawfish 0.36, and 1.0-6 is
out.  0.36 has gebrokenness for stuff I want to do.  No
1.0 RPM available from RH, Mandrake's won't install, can't
de-install Sawfish (in order to install from source) 'cuz
gnome-core depends on it.  And I have low confidence that
the RH file installation directories will match those in
the Sawfish source package anyway. }-(

So.. does anyone have a good idea for getting Sawfish 1.0
on my RH 7.1 laptop in four steps or less?
