Ray,

Don't sweat it, brother - we were all 'just starting out' at one
point.  Have you checked out the PPP howto?

Linuxdoc.org is a pretty good place to start out, whatever you need help
with.  You should be able to keep using MindSpring - just don't think for
one second that they'll help you get set up.  I've had ISP support folks
hang up on me for saying the 'L' word.
