I am e-mailing this from an Alpha (XP1000), and it is very nice.  I use it
to test software using NT, Linux, and Tru64 UNIX.  I wish Compaq had the
foresight to keep the Alpha.

What does this have to do with your question?  Nothing, except that the
Alpha uses the same byte order as the Intel chips.
