[TriLUG] RedHat 7.2 Kernel troubles

to clear up, here's what I get AFTER building mkinitrd as per rpjday and
kevin:

Creating root device
Mounting root filesystem
Mount: Error 19 mounting ext3
pivotroot: pivot_root(/sysroot,/sysroot/initrd) failed: 2
Freeing unused kernel memory: 200k freed
kernel panic: no init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.

the /bin/insmod error went away.

hold on.  originally, you said you were getting "init not found" during
boot time.  are you saying the error message has changed?
