Just saw ya 'request for comments' re Linux on the Dell 8100...
I should be receiving mine in the next 10 days [praying to Linus for speedy 
delivery...;-) ]
If you've already *DONE* the Linux Install, lemmie know all the gory 
details.
If ya haven't, and ya still need to hear back, drop me a note at the end of 
the month and I will let ya know how it all went...

Basic config of my 8100 is (supposed) to be:
    1GHz PIII
    512MB RAM
    30GB HDD
    Ultra VGA (Oh wow, 1600*1200 !!)
    32MB GeForce
Initial intention will be to load Slackware-8.0 with 2.2.19 kernel to keep 
it 'in-step' with all mah work servers.

(If it weren't for the inconvenience factor, I should be *THANKING* the jerk 
who stole my old HP-Omnibook 4150)
