Hi Al,

Check out

but keep in mind that theres a *tremendous* and constantly increasing
number of devices that can potentially run on Linux.  I don't think any
one group or web site will ever be able to keep up.  In general, your
best bet on getting good advice for linux install/setup is to:

  1) start with a search on google.com (and try a number of different
     but related search terms--don't quit on the first search)

  2) send an email to your LUG asking for help

  3) wait a few weeks or a month and repeat steps 1 + 2 because 
     drivers are constantly being written, updated, etc...
