[TriLUG] DSL vs Road Runner Recomendations?

Tanner,
I just signed on for service with Verizon DSL. My experience has been quite
positive so far. Linux setup was trivial (no hardware aside from the DSL
modem, no PPPoX to configure).  Download speeds seem to be around 500 kbps;
I've not tested upload speed.

I'm paying a promotional rate of $30 for the first three months then $50
from then on. There was no service contract, although you must return the
modem should you terminate before 12 mos.

A few caveats:
Setup uses DHCP which may not be what you need for hosting. I have no need
to host a server so I haven't verified that hosting is permitted per the
service agreement.

HTH,
Geoff
