Hmmm... No /etc/X11/X...

lovelace tigger ~ 195_ rpm -qf /etc/X11/X
file /etc/X11/X is not owned by any package
lovelace tigger ~ 196_ ls -l /etc/X11/X
lrwxr-xr-x    1 root     root           27 Oct  3 17:58 /etc/X11/X ->
../../usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86*
lovelace tigger ~ 197_ rpm -qf /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86
XFree86-server-4.1.0-17mdk
lovelace tigger ~ 198_

Check to see if XFree86-server is installed. If it's
not, use urpmi to install it too. Apparently, XFree86-server
depends on XFree86, but not the other way around.
Sorry, I should have realized that... :-(

Sinner is right, though. You'll need to configure
X before it will work correctly...

I'm not sure you need to do that just yet... If this doesn't
work, however...
