If you can get an ethernet card for the printer, this is definitely
the way to go.  If you can't, I highly recommend the NetGear print
server boxes.  I've got a PS110 (I think that's the right model
number) that I've hooked up 2 deskjets to and can access anywhere
in my network (and even vmware with bridged networking).  I used
to have problems with the computer the printer was connected to
being used for other stuff, or just crashing sometimes.  No longer!
