I've had a couple of folks ask me about how I got XFree86 to run on my
Toshiba 110CS, so here goes:

I have found reading the docs that XFree 4.x doesn't run correctly on the
Chips&Technologies (C&T Chipsets) due to their lack of being able to handle
DRI commands. These are not even true 2D engines on these cards. More like
the old Trident 8900 series 1MB cards. They can do 800x600 in 256 colors,
not real powerful.

Anyway, I installed RH 7.2 using XFree 3.3.6, and I used the attached config
file. Here's the "crutical" part, the monitor section:

Section "Monitor"
   Identifier "Primary Monitor"
   VendorName "Unknown"
   ModelName "Unknown"
   HorizSync 31.5-48.5
   VertRefresh 55-90
   Modeline "800x600" 50.00 800 856 976 1040 600 637 643 666 +hsync
+vsync
EndSection
