[TriLUG] Mailman loosing messages

I've been running Mailman with Postfix for a few
months now.  I have one list that has been running
with daily traffic - no problems.  Another that I
setup last week.  Both were working until yesterday
afternoon.  Since then, it has become a roach motel:
Messages check in -- they don't check out.

After some diagnosis - I found that cron had not
not been running the mailman jobs.  Running
"service crond status" indicated that cron was running.
Logging in as the mailman user and doing 'crontab -l'
listed the necessary jobs - so it was still configured
correctly.

After restarting crond - everything is now working
fine.

Any ideas what happened?  Has anyone run into this
situation?  Should I be periodically restarting
cron?  (that would be ironic, huh?)
