[TriLUG] RH 7.2, KDE 2.2, why does KDM preferred background get changed by Red Hat?

I think your problem is probably in the file /etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup_0 
redhat sets up a background color and a logo independent of any display 
manager using xsetroot and xsri. just comment them both out, and the kdm 
background work.
