I definately do not want to start another daemon, even if it would solve my problem. I would like to know why the kernel update slowed my clock. I'm still sort of new to linux. Is this something I can contact RedHat about? Does this qualify as a bug?? This definately seems to me to be a "feature" that shouldn't be. Thx. KH
