[TriLUG] A question about Mandrake 8.2 availability.

Many thanks for offering to help me! I will send you an reminder email (if
I can remember to do so myself :-). I'm also esp appreciative of the
www.cheapbytes.com site!!
I have seen lots of these "cheap Linux OS disks" in Linux Format magazine,
but the addresses and esp. the telephone numbers! were always in Britain
and the cost given in British pounds! In fact, I've seen British sources
where you can buy a fairly inexpensive package of disks which would allow
you to try any Linux distribution you'd like. I haven't checked the URL
above, but I'm hoping that that is the case there as well. Assuming I like
Mandrake 8.2 as well, I'll probably buy a copy from Mandrake as soon as
their boxes become available at BestBuy or Compusa. I would naturally
download a copy also but at modem speeds I would be forced to use something
like GetRight (and Windoze) to avoid having to stay online for a very long
period of time. It works, but it is also possible to spend a lot of time and
have one bad session destroy all your work. Thanks again for the help,
Geoff!!
