Run != compile. If you want to compile a kde2 app, you're probably SOL.
You may want to see if there's a newer version of the source that'll use
kde3...or chekc the other CDS, maybe the app you want is part of
skipjack after all (hey, there's a lot of stuff on those CDs.)

FYI - if you used your free rhn registration, you can :

up2date --showall |less 

to find out what's available for your release. If the package you want
is in there, just 

up2date -i packagename

and it will be downloaded and installed for you!
