Thanks very much. It'll be six months before we get it (it
needs to be built), but we have to have all the options picked
out within 3 weeks! But, it'll be nice to have more space for
the wee one, and I'll be closer to the Trilug meeting place. :-)

Well, I was trying not to be too linux centric (and actually
not to choose the term free or open source) but rather to
answer in a calm and reasoned fashion. I really am not a lawyer,
though, so I'd really like for someone else who knows more about
this area of law to take a look at it.

I must confess that I am really mystified as to why Microsoft
would write such an obviously wrong web page. I know of no legal
requirement that states that an operating system must remain with
a computer. Now, MS's current licenses may say that, but that
doesn't make it a legal requirement that the OS must always stay
with that computer, just that it can only be used with that computer
(a subtle distinction, but one that gives the user a lot more freedom).

So, please, give me suggestions about the web page, and feel free to
publicize it, if you want.

This would be a very good time to hang out with the Open Source
people, before they get formally reclassified as a national security
