A google search will bring up some good docs. I've done it plenty of
times recently, and the only big gotcha is to downgrade binutils before
starting the install. After that's it's pretty smooth. 

Oh, and doing it over remote X is sluggish. X on the server console
(i.e. VNC if it's headless) is a good idea.
