I don't have an S2460 but we do have a few SMP machines in our lab.  If
you want to run RH 7.3 on any SMP system, then make sure to get the most
recent Red Hat 7.3 kernel version from the updates!  Theres a race
condition in the ext3 code in the stock RH 7.3 kernel and it can cause
frequent lockups on SMP systems when doing heavy disk access (ie. when
running updatedb).
