There are also MP3/CD players by Sony that play MP3's on CD-RW. I like being
able to burn them to RW's so I can erase and reuse the CD.

Yup.  That's the point of the cd based MP3 devices.  You burn MP3s as
data onto CDs and the devices read them and play.
