Thanks.  I was doing this using scsi devices and I thought I could do it on
the fly.  (At least I used to on Windows.)   However,
I maybe getting underuns and not even know it.

I'll try your method out tonight.

dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/tmp/cdrom.iso
cdrecord  /tmp/cdrom.iso

Done.

Or, for direct CD to CD copy:

You don't want to try this with your CD reader and writer on the same
IDE bus, though.
