[TriLUG] Vexing CD Burning Problem

I had some problems with an old Yamaha, but it was IDE, not SCSI. Try using
X-CDRoast if you want the GUI. Mikes method would be a good way if you want
command line.

Hello

I'm using scsi writer 4x speed yamaha and scsi reader 2x toshiba. Both of
these units are old at the hills. I have a ide 48x speed reader but I
don't use it for burning cd's.

What are you trying to do? I use X-CDRoast to do CD to CD burning...I have
a 32x Toshiba reader and a 16x Plextor writer. I've set the kernel up with
SCSI emulation and disabled the IDE ATAPI support so these drives would be
seen by vorbis and cdparanoia as SCSI drives...works great from drive to
drive!

Hello

Anybody know of a website which lists pointers on making cd to cd copies?

A hearty "Me Too!" here. Roy sold me on X-Cd-Roast at the last install
fest. My only complaint is documentation. But once you figure it out
it's pretty powerful and hasn't given me a coaster yet. :)
