/etc/pmfirewall/pmfirewall.local.conf

If you compiled/installed it from source the default is
/usr/local/pmfirewall/pmfirewall.local.conf

Yes, stopping ipchains would work:
  service ipchains stop

Under RedHat the config files for PMfirewall may be stored in
/etc/pmfirewall/pmfirewall.local.conf (if I remember that correctly). In
any case, it does not use the /etc/sysconfig/ipchains file.

Good luck with it!

Has anyone tried pmfirewall ? It seems pretty tight, I can't seem to
turn it off after I set the rules. Would stopping ipchains work?
