[TriLUG] Opening Office files

Office XP is not allowed to be run on anthing other than 98/NT/2000/XP
Office 2000 is not allowed to be run on anything other than 98/ME/2000/XP
Office 97 is not allowed to be run on anything other than 95/98/ME/2000/XP
It specifically says running it in an operating system "other than" the ones
listed in the ELUA (including other MS OS'), was a direct violation of the
license agreement AND copyright. My job requires me to know their EULA's.
The EULA changed with Office 97 due to the fact we team OS/2'ers (yes I was
a member) found a way to run Office 95 on Os/2 Warp Connect. This "seemed"
to coincide with the timing of the EULA change.
I can get quotes from the EULA's if you'd like.

Actually, while that may be the case for Office XP, I'm not sure it's the
case for Office 2000, and I'm almost positive it's not the case for Office
97. I agree that MS is putting that in it's current EULA's, but I think it
took them a bit to realize they wanted to put it in there.
