I have to agree with Thomas' assessment of Open Source being mixed with
the Mac OS being a very good thing for Open Source.

If you think about it, this is a natural form or evolution. There are
thousands of ready made apps that are free for the use to anyone.  The
apps are constantly being refined and improved, and not just by
individual effort - some corporations are kicking in time and man-hours
too.

The Mac folks realized this earlier on than any of the other proprietary
OS makers.  Sun has figured it out too.  It won't be long before Ol'
Billy Boy and his clan catch the fire as well.

It's not a bad thing.  It's natural evolution.  Those great Open Source
gene's are starting to pop-up every where!
