[TriLUG] OpenBSD 3.1 & a Sun Netra T1 105 (longish)

I didn't know there was a BSD list at TriLUG.
It's not listed on the mailman pages off the TriLUG website. Where can I
find info for the list?

Thanks,

Jaimie

You know, you should join the bsd at trilug.org list... These topics are more
appropriate there (and won't bother the folks who know nothing about BSD and
are not interested).

What is the servers primary name, and is that name associated with the
interior network interface? Is it defined in /etc/hosts?

What happens when you su as root and type "newaliases", does it come back
right away or take forever before finally finishing up?

If it takes forever, then your host setup is incorrect and processes that
talk to the local box via the IP stack will have mucho problemo.

You can fix this by simply changing the name associated with the interior
network card so that it is the same as the host name.

Just a shot in the dark - without more info - Good Luck,

Jon
