[TriLUG] Mail problems sendmail/procmail/spamassassin

For posterity's sake:

I had a line messed up in my ipchains setup.  I had the lo accept line 
below the -s 0/0 -d 0/0 tcp reject line.  Spamc couldn't connect to 
spamd because the ipchains rule was blocking the connection.  I don't 
remember doing that, but given that I was working on the server at 4:00 
this morning, it is more than possible that I did it accidentally.
